Participation is open to all educators, students, farmers, agricultural organizations and interested individuals.

Mission
Agriculture is fundamental to life. Vermont Agriculture In The Classroom creates educational networks that promote farms, food production, nutrition and resource management in our communities.

Vision
The vision of Vermont Agriculture In The Classroom is that Vermont communities value the teaching of agriculture, food production, nutrition, and resource management as part of life long learning.

Goals
To increase awareness and understanding of our regional food system, including food production, consumption, distribution, natural resource use and waste management.

To highlight the many innovative career opportunities in all areas of the agriculture and forestry industries.

To build an appreciation of the historical, cultural, economic, environmental, and scientific importance of agriculture to the quality of life in Vermont and our society.

To use agriculture education as a meaningful vehicle to connect students with their agricultural heritage while learning basic skills and meeting national and state education standards.
