
Write an Essay about Dairy - Judging Criteria
Essays are judged individually on the basis of the criteria below
THEME: (30 Points)
Was the topic addressed as outlined in the explanation? Was the theme carried throughout the essay?
CONTENT:(30 Points)
Were the dairy facts correct? Does the essay show learning on the part of the student? Does the information presented suit the title?
QUALITY OF WRITITNG: (30 Points)
Was correct grammar, punctuation and spelling used? Did the information flow easily from one thought to another? Was the essay easy to read? Does the essay show originality of thought and/or presentation?
REFERENCES, SOURCES: (10 Points)
Has material been researched and have sources been cited? Was the resource material well used in the essay? Are sources correctly and clearly listed?
EXTRA CREDIT: (10 Points)
Illustrations, graphs, photographs, etc. Do they have direct relationship to the written material? Are illustrations/graphs presented attractively? Are they well explained and/or defined, and correctly labeled?
A minimum of 60 points are required for an essay to be awarded a prize.

2nd Place:

3rd Place:
- Tickets to the Vermont Agency of Agriculture night at the Vermont Mountaineers game on June 27th.
